Job Overview:
The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in all aspects of daily operations to ensure the smooth functioning and profitability of the store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, training, and supervising store staff. Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure they deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales targets.
- Operational Excellence: Help oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and maintaining store cleanliness and organisation.
- Customer Satisfaction: Foster a customer-centric environment by greeting and assisting customers, resolving complaints effectively, and ensuring that all customer inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Sales and Performance Management: Work with the Store Manager to set sales targets and develop strategies to achieve them. Monitor sales performance, analyse trends, and implement initiatives to drive sales and maximise profitability.
- Administrative Duties: Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll processing, and preparing reports as required.
Required Skills for Store Manager:
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a leadership role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of motivating and developing teams.
- Sound understanding of retail operations, including sales techniques, inventory management, and customer service best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
